Tuberculosis Incentive Study
This project is designed to assess the effectiveness of incentives and enablers for improving DOTS (directly observed treatment, short course) completion rates in a representative sample of tuberculosis patients in Kyzy/Orda Oblast. In 4 clusters, food, money and visiting nurses will be utilized as incentives/enablers, and a no-incentive group will set up for comparison. Monitoring and auditing of the study activities and outcomes will result in the development of a policy paper with recommendations.
