Volunteers with Disabilities

We invite persons with disabilities to volunteer with the American Red Cross. We believe that you add a richness to our organization, and we are committed to providing the programs, people, and services that you need to become a volunteer.

What can you do for the American Red Cross? Everything. We are dedicated to making sure that persons with disabilities have the opportunity to participate in all of our activities to every reasonable extent.

On these pages, you will find examples of what people with disabilities are doing for the American Red Cross. You can read their profiles, learn about some innovative programs, and find out about what resources are available for you. However, these items are just samples of the many possibilities for collaboration with our organization.

Interested in becoming involved? Contact the Volunteer Director at your local Red Cross unit. Explain your interests and how you would like to help the American Red Cross. Please share what types of accommodations you need to ensure that your volunteer experience is a positive one.
